IWATE Hitomebore (Japan) Japonica Rice

  • It is highly valued not only for its taste, but also for its safety and environmental friendliness.
    It is a crossbred rice between Koshihikari and Hatsuboshi, which is sweet and savoury with a sticky texture.

  • Step 1


    Wash rice quickly with full water by hand, and change water right after washing.

    Continue rinsing 3 - 4 times until water to be clear.


    Step 2


    Pour the amount of water as per a rice cooker and also can be adjusted on your preference.


    Step 3


    Soak rice in water for one hour. Soaking time may be longer in cold water.


    Step 4


    Switch on a rice cooker.


    Step 5


    Keep a rice cooker for 15 minutes with a lid on.
